Irishstorm

This is intended to explore activism expressed through the arts. It is a part of the "Apathy Kills" project.

This involves aspects of researching, writing and producing information on various topics of interest. Some is based on extensive research over the years, so may involve journalistic and writing disciplines too.

This was one of my first attempts at producing/directing. I was asked to choose a film that had a strong storyline that could stand on its own as a narrative, while at the same time present an overall impression of what the film was about. That's why I chose the 1960s cult classic, The Graduate. This is a clip from our original film. There are sometimes those wonderful unexpected moments that you decide to keep in when shooting. Ben's expression of dismissal was a piece of humour that I couldn't let go. The actor playing Ben was pretty good. However, the actress, playing Mrs Robinson unfortunately presented me with problems with her timing and continuity, despite impatient efforts.
